Pictures of Tears

Back in December 2013 my newsletter was about tears, called the Emotional Wee, the response to that newsletter has been quite overwhelming, with people asking for more about tears.  Recently I saw a post of Facebook, of all places, and I have put a link to it below and it answers some more questions about tears, as well as raising more questions, by showing microscope pictures of different kinds of tears.

These photos, taken by Rose-Lynn Fisher, show different types of tears and the crystal makeup viewed under a microscope.  Most people think that tears are only water, however they are much more than that, as discussed in the above-mentioned newsletter and the article accompanying Rose-Lynn’s pictures.  Tears are categorised into three types, psychic tears, being both grief and joy, which are extremes of emotions, reflex or automatic tears which are usually caused by an irritation of some kinds, such as onion juice, a foreign body or gases and basal tears which are our bodies way of lubricating our eyes and are releases continually.
